Preflop charts for beginners: what to open from every seat.
Most of your profit starts before the flop. The single biggest beginner leak is playing too many hands from early seats. These charts show which hands to raise first in (when everyone before you has folded) from each position, for live cash and online 6-max. They're simplified from solver charts: hands the solver plays most of the time are shown in red.

Why position matters
The later you act, the more players have already folded and the more often you'll have position after the flop (acting last). That's why the button opens almost half its hands and the first seat opens around one in seven. Read the seats clockwise from the first to act: early (LJ / EP) → middle (MP / HJ) → late (CO, BTN) → blinds (SB, BB).
